Turkey Trot 7 

The last of this years Turkey Trots was played on Saturday 3rd December, 95 people entered the competition on a very crisp day on the links. 

Thankfully the frost stayed away so all the greens were playable so a true test of golf was played. Richard Lewis or Rambo as some of you know him scored the most stableford points shooting 38, narrowly beating Rhodri Lennox on countback. 

They both took home the turkeys in their respective divisions. In the 2nd division Derek Hegerty was the victor, scoring 37 points. 

Congratulations guys and well done to everyone that played. 

Captain Pro Challenge 2016/17

The Wintles (Sally & Birthday Boy Dave) took the challenge of playing myself and captain Tim Jones on Sunday. After another delicious breakfast we set off to the first tee. 

It was a very close match throughout, the highlight was Sally teaching us all how to 'DAB' on the 9th hole, thankfully though it wasn't enough to put us off as I sunk a birdie putt on the last to win the match! 

Unlucky guys well played, hope I didn't ruin your birthday Dave. 

This year's Captain Pro challenge is now available for booking. See if you can take on and beat myself and Tim Jones! But you better bring your 'A-Game'. 

We will treat you to a breakfast at 9am before you play, £10 per person . It will be a 9.45am start. 

The booking sheet is on the winter league notice bored in the men's locker room.

  

Pennard Golf Studio

The studio is now available for booking from the 14 November - 27 November to play the first 9 holes of Cog Hill Golf Club. 

Please note the first tee time is 8.00, and the last tee off is at 19.00 Mon - Thurs and 17:00 Fri - Sun. 

I would strongly advise you try to book your tee slots in advance in the Pro Shop to ensure you get the best time to suit you.

Winter Order Of Merit - Individual Stableford 

9 holes every fortnight, £5 entry - 10 courses to be played - Two hour slots to be booked - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Two, Three and Four balls Order of merit points to be awarded after each round. 

Prizes to be awarded after each round for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 

1st - Meal for two in the new Pobbles restaurant 
2nd - 40 Minute Lesson in the Simulator 
3rd - 1/2 use of the Simulator for practice 

Top 8 of the order of merit will go into a knock-out stage for the Pennard Golf studio Winter League Trophy.
