Winter Stableford

It was a brisk day on the links of Pennard last Saturday. The sun was out and members of the golf club geared up to play the Saturday stableford competition. There were 89 competitors in the field and some excellent scores.

Saturday, 21 January

First Place - Simon Langford - 40 Points (back 9). 
Second Place - Tim Jones - 40 Points.
Third  Place - Kieth Child - 39 Points.
Fourth Place - Tony Ribeiro - 38 Points.

Last week it was the battle of the Saturday Competition Winners! Simon Langford and Mike Honey were the challengers, Tim was keen to get revenge on Simon after he beat him on countback the previous day to win the Saturday Competition. Both teams played well but it was Sean and Tim who came away with the victory, winning the game 2&1. Better luck next time lads!




Captain Pro Challenge 2016/17

This year's Captain Pro challenge is now available for booking. See if you can take on and beat myself and Tim Jones, But you better bring your 'A-Game'. 

We will treat you to a breakfast at 9.00am before you play, £10.00 per person. 
It will be a 9.45am start. The booking sheet is on the winter league notice bored in the men's locker room.


 

Winter Order Of Merit - Individual Stableford

Nine holes every fortnight, £5.00 entry - Ten courses to be played - Two hour slots to be booked - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Two, Three and Four balls Order of Merit points to be awarded after each round. 

Prizes to be awarded after each round for first, second and third. 
First - Meal for two in the new Pobbles restaurant 
Second - 40 Minute Lesson in the Simulator 
Third - 1/2 use of the Simulator for practice Top 8 of the order of merit will go into a knock-out stage for the Pennard Golf studio Winter League Trophy.


 

Pennard Golf Studio

The studio is now available for booking. Please note the first tee time is 8.00am, and the last tee off is at 7:00pm Mon - Thurs and 5:00pm Fri - Sun. I would strongly advise you try to book your tee slots in advance in the pro shop to ensure you get the best time to suit you.
