Importance of coaching and custom fitting These two things are talked about a lot in the golf industry these days, everyone knows we should take advantage of them both, but often we put them off. Here’s why they are both so vital. Firstly coaching; in order to get better we need to improve either our swing or our tactics and there is a lot of bad and misleading information out there on both of them. If you are really serious about your game regular check-ups, much like with your GP or dentist, is ideal for a coach to work on your game holistically on both technique and tactics. But simply having 1 lesson every now and then could do wonders, as practice alone won’t do a lot, especially if you are practicing bad habits Secondly custom fitting; this game is hard enough so why use equipment that is working against you? There are so many factors to a golf club that will affect how the club is delivered to the ball at impact and it would be naive to assume that you’re standard off the shelf just because you are an average golfer.
